Lesa Brackbill didn’t choose advocacy; it chose her.

When her daughter, Victoria, was diagnosed with Krabbe disease, Lesa was thrust into a world of “if onlys.” She had a choice: stay loud in her grief, or become an architect of the solution. She chose the latter.

Through a 2,292-day fight to reform state law, Lesa moved from the bedside to the director’s chair, decoding the mechanics of systemic change along the way. She didn’t just want to pass a bill; she wanted to master the engineering required to build a safety net that survives election cycles and protects families she will never meet.

Today, as the Director of Advocacy for Patient Advocacy Strategies, Lesa specializes in Structural Credibility. She teaches advocates, organizations, and industry partners how to transition from the megaphone to the blueprint. She is a Master Weaver who treats advocacy as a craft of precision, focusing on the Technical Integrity required to move mountains.

Lesa holds a Master’s in Strategic Communication from Azusa Pacific University and is the author of Even So, Joy, and A Brighter Blueprint. Her authority isn’t found in a title—it’s found in the thousands of intentional stitches she has made to ensure the system finally answers to the people it was meant to serve.
