Why I included my photography throughout the book...

I have always loved capturing the world through my camera lens, so as I developed the Twelve Threads, it felt natural to use some of my photographs to reinforce the stories I was sharing. I wanted to include them here as well, since they lost some of their power during the printing process. I also added some bonus photos for you to experience.

In each of these experiences, the photos were taken with care or with permission to protect the dignity of those being photographed. Their stories deserve to be told so others can feel their impact.
